Beyonce Shows Off 1-year-old Blue Ivy

A photo of 1-year-old Blue Ivy circulated the internet and spread like wildfire. The last time we saw a pic of the beauty was last summer when her and mommy where shopping.
The picture is a screen cap from Beyonce’s upcoming documentary Life Is But A Dream”, which will debut tonight on HBO and is right on time for all the promo the Carters have drummed up for the special night.
In a recent interview with E!, Bey revealed that she is doing everything that she possibly can to make sure Blue has a normal childhood:

I think for [Gwyneth Paltrow and I], protecting our daughters is so important and…keeping things on our own terms, so I will still be protective and make sure [Blue Ivy] has a childhood and a great time.
At some point, you know it is what it is, you can’t control it anymore. But I know as long as I’m the mother that I know I can be and the mother I have—such an incredible mother—my daughter’s going to be fine.
[The film is] out now because I feel like I finally know what to say after seeing my child’s eyes.
Blue Ivy is beautiful! She looks like a perfect combination of Beyonce and Jay. OnPoint!

J.Cole NEW ALBUM!!! "Truly Yours"

"It’s time. I appreciate you giving me the time I needed to grow, experiment, and find the direction for my 2nd album.. And I have.
Along the way I’ve recorded at least 4 albums worth of material, lots of it being unfinished demo versions waiting to be polished up, some of them are great songs and important stories that just won’t make the album (either they don’t fit Sonically, don’t fit Theme, or there’s just not enough space) .

Tonight, I want to give you a few of these songs because you deserve them. It’s hard as fuck for me to keep all this music from you for so long, so I know it’s been hard for you to wait. Thank you for your patience. Vibe out to these songs in their raw form, no polish.. just a lot of my soul..
The wait is over.

Truly Yours,
Born Sinner

PS- 1st single coming this week. The album is hands down my best work yet. Can’t wait to share."

This month Ms. Washington covers Ebony Magazine looking OnPoint! She shares intimate details from her past as well as the significance of portraying such dynamic female characters such as Olivia Pope on ABC’s Scandal and the slave, Broomhilda, in “Django Unchained. She discusses the connection the two characters have, and how they relate to her own personal life.

Read some of the Highlights:

Kerry on what she loves about Olivia Pope
In her professional life, she is so powerful and is this self-made woman…But in [Olivia’s] personal life, she is a mess and I kind of love that…I love that I get to embody all of that complexity because I also think it takes a certain level of progress for us to have a Black Woman that powerful be an emotional mess on television.
Kerry on the connection between Olivia and Broomhilda:
[Olivia] is the answer to Broomhilda’s prayers…I’m grateful that these two women on opposite ends of history, on opposite ends of their experience, both strong women but in such different ways, can exist at the same time.

Beyonce's Killer Super Bowl Performance + Celebz Supportive Responses

Minutes after Beyonce finished her remarkable performance, lights went out at NOLA's Superdome.

The show started with a countdown from fans who were chosen from a Pepsi-sponsored contest. The stadium field was then bombarded by running, screaming fans before Beyonce appeared in all her glory and began singing “Love On Top.”  Joined by all female dancers, she went into “Crazy In Love,” “End Of Time,” and dutty winded her way right into a sexy rendition of “Baby Boy.” I know all of my fellow Jamaicans where happy to see B big up our country like this. As we all anticipated, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams joined her on stage for “Bootylicious,” “Independent Women,” and “Single Ladies.”

By this time, Beyonce probably should have been out of breath, but she somehow mustered up the vocals to end her performance with “Halo.”  At that point, she could have grown wings and flown around the stadium. OnPointPerformance!

Of course her hubby joined in on the excitement.

Beyonce put out a letter to all African American women who performed during the Super Bowl.
